Art is personal. Buying it should be simple.
October 02, 2026
For me, free shipping begins with a simple question: how should it feel to buy a piece of art from us? I want the answer to be straightforward. You should understand what you are choosing, what it costs and how it will reach you. You should feel comfortable asking questions and taking your time. The work can be full of feeling, colour and mystery. The transaction should be clear.
The art world can sometimes feel opaque. The price of an Original may reflect the artist's experience, the work involved, its place within a body of work, demand and many other considerations. Those things are not always easy to understand from the outside. And choosing art is personal enough already: you are deciding whether you want to live with something, see it each morning, or give it a place in someone else's life. Wherever we can make the practical side simpler, I believe we should.
That is why Hearts & Colors offers free shipping on Originals and Limited Editions to 17 European countries. In those destinations, the delivery charge is one less thing to work out while you consider a piece. The artwork price stays the artwork price; we take care of the eligible delivery charge. The destinations and conditions are there for you to read before you order.
There is a broader idea behind this. A product is experienced long before it arrives and long after it has been paid for. The explanation, the questions, the ordering and the delivery all become part of how you feel about it. Something can be beautifully made and still be frustrating to buy. I want the care that goes into my paintings to continue into the experience of bringing one home.
For us, care has to mean something practical. It means being clear about what we offer, making the terms easy to find and helping you understand the choices. It means explaining the difference between an Original and a Limited Edition, and being straightforward about delivery and returns. A heart in a painting is a reminder of our values. The way we treat you is where we have to put those values into practice.
This is only the first step. We will continue working to reach more destinations and offer free shipping on more items, one thing at a time. For now, the benefit does not apply to every product or destination, and we want those boundaries to be clear too. Other products keep their applicable delivery charges, even in a mixed order. Taxes or import charges may still apply. The details matter because transparency includes explaining the limits of an offer as carefully as the offer itself.
My hope is that you feel the same intention from everyone at Hearts & Colors: we want interacting with us to feel easy, safe and simple. Whether you are browsing, asking about a painting or choosing a work for your home, you should know where you stand.
I want to paint the world over with hearts. Making the journey from my studio to your home more straightforward is one small way to help that happen.
