Marilyn again — because some icons refuse to stay still. This one came out of a session of pure play: stencil work, spray, and a certain recklessness I hadn't let myself have in a while. The face emerged in black and white, raw and graphic, and then I pushed color back into it — blue shadow, red mouth — like emotion bleeding through a mask. The heart lives below her, half-dissolved into the surface, as if the whole thing is still being figured out. That's the honest part. She's not a tribute and she's not a critique. She's a question about what we project onto faces we think we know. Signed in red, 2025 — because this moment is as much a part of the work as the paint.

  • A hand-signed certificate. Your certificate carries my signature. A copy stays in my studio register.
  • My fingerprint, on both. The fingerprint on your certificate matches the one on the artwork.
  • A matching serial number. A mechanically stamped number connects the painting to its certificate.
  • Signed front and back. My signature belongs to the painting itself, not just its paperwork.
  • Heart stamps in the wood. Stamped marks on the chassis and, when included, the frame help validate its origin—usually with hearts in several places on the chassis.
  • A person you can ask. Come back to me whenever you want to validate your certificate.
