A more affordable way to collect Sam Grudge’s art, with the care and personal connection that make a work worth keeping. Each fine art print belongs to a fixed edition, is numbered and hand-signed by Sam, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

What is a limited edition?
A limited edition is a defined series of prints of one artwork. Its size is agreed in advance: once every copy in that edition has found a home, the series is complete.
For Sam’s editions, each original painting has at most one limited series, in one image size. The total will never be increased and the limited series will never be reissued. Every print is numbered and signed by Sam by hand.
A number such as 3/20 identifies one print within an edition of twenty. It gives your piece a place in that finite series. The certificate of authenticity accompanies it as a record of what you own.
These are fine art prints made from Sam’s original paintings. The painting remains a unique work; the edition opens another way to collect the image you connected with.
What makes it worth collecting?
A limit you can understand
The edition size is a clear commitment from the artist. You know how many prints can belong to that series, and that its limit will stay fixed. Your copy has its own number within that shared edition.
A connection to the artist
Sam signs each print himself. Together, the signature, number and certificate identify the work as part of his edition. There is a person and a practice behind the image you bring into your home.
Care in the object itself
Produced with specialist printer Colorfields in Wavre, Belgium, the editions use Fine Art Canson rag cotton paper. Sam chooses the size and presentation options for each artwork, giving the finished print the attention its image deserves.

Prints have long belonged in artists’ practices and collectors’ homes. Museums collect and exhibit them too: Tate’s collection includes prints by artists from William Blake to Tracey Emin. Collecting art has never been confined to owning a single, unique painting.
The world of prints embraces different techniques and intentions, from etching and screenprinting to fine art reproductions. Sam’s editions are reproductions of his paintings, made as finite, signed series. Their appeal brings together the image, the artist’s involvement, the quality of the finished object and the known edition size.
You do not need an established collection to begin. Start with the work you want to see every day: the colour that lifts a room, the heart that reminds you of someone, the image whose meaning keeps unfolding. An edition can be the first work you collect or a considered addition to the art you already live with.

How many prints are in each edition?
Heartflare Limited Edition Print is an edition of 12. Speed of Light Limited Edition Print, Barcelona Part 1 Limited Edition Print and American Experiment pt.1 Limited Edition Print are each editions of 20. These are the total edition sizes, not the number currently available.
Is every print different?
Each print reproduces the same artwork at the size chosen for its series. The individual edition number identifies your copy, and Sam adds his signature by hand. The image is shared within the edition; it is not sold as a one-of-a-kind painting.
Can I choose how it is presented?
Presentation options are selected for each artwork. Depending on the edition, these may include a framed print or an unframed print supplied in a tube. Open the work’s product page to see the options, dimensions and prices available for that edition.
What comes with my print?
Your print is individually numbered, hand-signed by Sam and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Keep the certificate with your records for the artwork.
