New woodworking collection

New woodworking collection

Before brushes and oils took center stage, woodworking was my first true creative outlet. It remains a part of me—a space where hands, tools, and natural materials meet in a dialogue both intimate and unpredictable. This new collection celebrates that connection. It gathers pieces I’ve designed and built over the years, blending function, memory, and personal storytelling.

Woodworking appeals to a different part of my creative brain. Unlike technology, where precision obeys code, wood has its own will. It’s alive with grain, knots, resistance, and quirks. You don’t command it—you collaborate with it. I’ve always found that challenge deeply grounding. It’s a conversation that keeps you honest. Some of the pieces in this collection were built for loved ones, others to solve practical problems beautifully, and a few just to explore form and function with no destination in mind.

As painting became my main practice, I started wondering how my art could one day embellish or emerge from my woodworking. That exploration has only just begun—but this collection is a glimpse into where I come from creatively, and where the paths of heart, hand, and tool might still meet.
