Two hearts, side by side — and between them, a pool of gold. That's what this painting is really about. Not the chaos underneath, not the bruised sky above, not the world pulling in every direction with its noise and its urgency. Just that quiet, luminous space where two people overlap. I painted the landscape agitated on purpose — slashing brushstrokes, the ground barely holding itself together, the sky torn open. Because that's honest. The world is loud. It asks a lot of us. But right there, in the center, where the two hearts meet, something warm and golden holds perfectly still. Fall always does this to me — strips everything back, turns the light amber, reminds me what actually matters. This is that feeling, painted.
