Some things don't need explaining — and yet I painted this anyway, because silence felt wrong. A red heart, full and unapologetic, set against the blue and yellow of Ukraine. No slogan, no caption. Just the oldest symbol I know, placed where I believe it belongs. This is not a painting about politics — it's about people. About a country that has refused, against every odd, to stop standing. I painted this in 2025, and I wish the world had made it unnecessary. It didn't. So here it is: my heart, for theirs.
