Meet Oskar. He showed up one day — round, wide-eyed, slightly bewildered — and I knew immediately he was mine. There's something about a penguin holding a heart that cuts right through all the noise. He's not trying to be sophisticated. He's just standing there, on a patch of earth under an open sky, offering everything he's got. That big red heart isn't a gesture — it's a statement. Oskar is my friend, my creation, and in many ways my alter ego: a little awkward, completely sincere, and absolutely unapologetic about how much he cares. This painting is part of my Studies collection — a space where I let things happen without a plan. Oskar happened. I'm glad he did.
