Some paintings whisper. This one holds its breath. Dark Matter started as an experiment with inverse airbrushing — instead of painting the heart, I painted everything around it, letting the heart emerge from the canvas as pure shadow, a void that somehow feels more alive than anything I could have filled it with. The result is this: a heart made of darkness, haloed by a cool, quiet light that seems to come from nowhere and everywhere at once. I made it for my niece. She knows why. There's something about leaving a shape empty that says more than any color could — like the spaces between words that carry the real meaning. 2026 is written in the corner not as a prediction, but as a promise.
