Fifty-some hearts — red, white, and blue — scattered across a pale sky like a flag mid-flight, mid-fall, mid-something. This is 2026-08 Patched. The idea started with the American flag, but rebuilt entirely from hearts, as if that's what it was always made of underneath. The composition tears diagonally across the canvas, and you can almost feel the tension in it — something ripped, something mended. The dotted underlayer showing through gives it that patched quality, like fabric held together with care rather than force. Worn, yes. But upright. Still flying. I believe in that.
