There is something quietly monumental about this one. I painted it for the person I love most — and what I wanted to capture was depth. Not surface-level warmth, but the kind that has been built, layer by layer, over time. Five layers of paint went into that heart — each one adding weight, dimension, a new shade of meaning. The gold around it isn't decoration. It's the field in which love lives when it's real: luminous, unhurried, a little otherworldly. The heart itself carries its own light — a soft highlight that makes it look almost sculptural, almost alive. Like something you could hold. Like something that holds you back.
